The forum on "Globalization, The New Economy, and United States Minorities" held at the Diego Rivera Theater and Rosenberg Library on Friday October 25 gathered a crow of over 500 students and teachers.

Jeff Trinidad 1974-2002
City College is mourning the loss of an active student campus leader. Jeff Trinidad passed away two weeks before his 28th birthday from heart complications on November 1, 2002.
Jeff was a student organizer, educator, mentor, poet, writer, community activist, friend, and kasama to all in the community.
On campuse, he served as president of the Inter-Club Council.
He was a founder and member of Pilipinos for Education Art Culture and Empowerment (PEACE), a member of Teatro ng Ta-nan (TnT), organizer of Lapu Lapu Day and Pilipino Unity Day, a board member and outreach guru of Manilatown Heritage Foundation, a task-force member of the San Francisco Veterans Equity Center, and coordinator of the Veterano Pro-ject.
He created "Kapit Bi-sig," a student newsletter at City College and had works published in various publications.
As a playwright for Teatro ng Tanan (TnT), he wrote performance pieces such as "Multo ni Macario [Sakay]" and "Blacklight."
Jeff's presence will be greatly missed at karaoke night at Cafe Kaleo and at Pilipino cultural and community events throughout San Francisco.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Nov. 6 at 8 a.m., Our Lady of Visitacion, 4840 Mission St.
He is survived by his mother Nenette Trinidad.
A potluck and memorial service will be held on campus Nov. 8 at 1 p.m. in the Student Union and a special birthday party and fundraiser is being planned for Nov. 12 at Malibu Club.
