21 IS THE LUCKY NUMBER AT JACC NOR CAL

The lucky number was indeed 21, since the The Guardsman took home that many awards at the Journalism Association of Community Colleges Nor Cal Conference held on Oct. 13.

Jessica and Alex Luthi took home four awards, Jessica with two in the bring-in Ad competition and Alex with first place in Photostory and fourth place in Bring-in Feature photo.

Jim Patterson won first place and Stephanie Rice won second place in the on-the-spot News Writing competition.

Michael Morgan was another big winner with four awards for his various Editorial cartoon entries.

The Guardsman won General Excellence, 2007.
