Hundreds of thousands of San Franciscans celebrated at San Francisco’s Pride Parade on June 26, 2011, energized by the landmark Gay Marriage law enacted in New York state.

Among the over 200 participating floats and groups, Google, Kaiser Permanente and Bank of America displayed very colorful and festive floats. Political figures such as San Francisco’s District 11 Supervisor John Avalos, City College Board of Trustees President John Rizzo and San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee were part of the celebration and support of the Pride Parade.

Celebrity Grand Marshall (C.G.M.) Jeremy Ray Valdez, also known as Jesse from the hit film, La Mission, and C.G.M. Yigit Pura from Top Chef were also among this year’s Parade supporters.

San Francisco’s Gay Pride Parade is known as the largest Pride Parade in the country and one of the largest in the world; this year it lived up to it’s name.
