The Rams had a strong start to the 2014 season with a dominating 52-14 win over Sierra. After a first quarter that ended with a tied 14-14 score, the Rams dominated the rest of the game.

Anthony Rodriguez got the start for the Rams and had a solid game throwing for 301 yards with one touchdown and an interception. Rodriguez’s touchdown pass came on a 33 yard pass to Antoine Porter in the 2nd quarter.

The top performer for the team was running back Elijah Dale, who rushed for 134 yard on 27 attempts with four touchdowns. Throughout the game Dale was the focal point of the Ram’s attack versus Sierra. Dale was instrumental in setting the team’s tempo early scoring the first two touchdowns of the game on bruising three and four yard touchdowns early in the first quarter.

Rodney Lawson was the leading receiver with 99 yards on four catches including a 54 yard catch that was one of the big plays of the game.

After letting up 14 points in the first quarter, the Ram’s defense played a great game pitching a shutout for the final three quarters.
