At the close of a universally heart-rending year, City College has lost two prominent and beloved faculty members. Dr. Henry Augustine and Lyudmila Karapetyan, each in their own way, knit themselves tightly into the City College community, now threadbare and grieving.

By Claudia Drdul claudiadrdul@gmail.com The City College accreditation crisis had a dire effect on staffing from Fall 2011 to Fall 2017, resulting in a significant decrease in full-time instructors during a time when the college was continuously bogged down by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges.
