Free tax prep on campus
City College is offering free state and federal tax services by IRS trained and certified tax preparers for students and their families with incomes of less than $49,000 until April 18.

City College is offering free state and federal tax services by IRS trained and certified tax preparers for students and their families with incomes of less than $49,000 until April 18.
Students can access these services at Ocean, Mission, Southeast and Evans campuses, which feature Chinese and Spanish bilingual speakers to assist taxpayers with limited English-speaking skills.
Students can also request a screening to see if they are eligible for food stamps, health insurance, child care assistance, and other benefits. In addition, financial counseling and opening of bank accounts and prepaid debit cards are available.
The sites are open Monday through Friday with daytime and evening hours through April 18. Call 415-391-7427 for an appointment or for more information. Walk-ins are welcome.
The program is sponsored by Single Stop USA, United Way and the City College Financial Aid Office.
