Community gathers for Howth Street memorial
Community groups will gather on March 19 at the Phelan Garden on the corner of Ocean and Phelan to plant five trees as a memorial to a family who was murdered on March 23 across from City College.

Formed at City College in 2010 by Lena Carew, a former student at the college, Students Making a Change has been involved in advocacy campaigns this semester from placement tests to free muni passes for students.

Remembering Daniel Venegas
City College student Daniel Venegas died March 31, 2012. A memorial service and mass were held in his honor at the Most Holy Redeemer Church, Sanctuary at 100 Diamond Street in the Castro followed by a reception at the Castro Country Club at 4058 18th Street. He was 34 years old.
